Non-Pass Ticket Options

Box Office Online
Tickets to all screenings and events and VIP TALLPasses may be purchased online up to an hour before each screening begins.

Box Office: In Person Prior to the Festival
The Physical Box Office will open on Monday, October 13th.  You may purchase all tickets and passes here, as well as exchange vouchers for GA tickets, Galas and TALLPasses.

Location & Hours:

  • Monday, Oct. 13th, Tuesday, Oct. 14th (11:00 am – 6:00 pm) at the Orpheum Theatre Box Office
  • Wednesday, Oct. 15th (11:00 am – 8:00 pm) at the Orpheum Theatre Box Office

Box Office: In Person At the Festival

  • Tickets for all shows at all venues may be purchased at the Orpheum, Scottish Rite and Garvey Theatre Box Offices. You may also exchange Vouchers for GA & Gala screenings here.
  • Additional box offices will be located at Bank of America, Wichita Art Museum, WSU Shiftspace, Wichita Historical Museum, you may purchase tickets for that venue only.
  • All screenings at Wichita Center for the Arts and The Wichita Public Library – Downtown Branch are free of charge. Seating is limited and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Will Call:
If you are picking up a TALLPass purchased online, sponsor tickets or exchanging vouchers for TALLPasses, please visit the festival WILL CALL.

Ticket Prices

  • VIP TALLPass: $195 (includes 5-day admission to all Galas, GA films, Educational Offerings, VIP Receptions & VIP Lounge)
  • Student TALLPass: $80 (includes admission to all Gala Films, GA films and educational offerings)
  • General Admission: $10
  • Discounted General Admission: $8 for students, teachers, seniors 65+, military with Valid ID
  • General Admission Matinees: $5 admission for films starting before 5:00 pm on Thursday and Friday
  • Gala Tickets: $25 includes movie & after party with open bar, eats & live musical performances
  • Gala Film-Only Tickets: $15 available only for Opening Night, Return of the Reels and Closing Night Gala. Does not include admission to the party.
  • Free Friday Films: A selection of films are offered free of charge to students, teachers and seniors 65+ on the morning and afternoon of Friday, October 17th. Sponsored by Prairie Fire Coffee Roasters.
  • Free Films at Wichita Center for the Arts & Wichita Public Library: All films screening at these venues are free. Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Fine Print: Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Many films have not yet ben rated by the MPAA, parental discretion is advised. No babes in arms. Program running times may or may not include introductions, shorts, and Q&A’s.

Box Office F.A.Q.’s

TALLPass Vouchers: If you’ve received a TALLPass voucher, it must be exchanged at festival will call. (see above for hours & location.)

GA & Gala Vouchers: Gala Vouchers must be exchanged in person at the Orpheum, Scottish Rite or Garvey Theater Box Office for an actual ticket. GA vouchers may be exchanged at any box office for a ticket. Vouchers have no cash value and are non-refundable.

Online Pass Purchases: All TALLPasses purchased online must be picked up at the Will Call. (See above for hours & location.)

Gala Tickets: Gala tickets are sold as a package, including movie and after-party. Gala’s are fundraisers for TFA and gala tickets are only valid for the individual gala marked on the ticket. Individual movie tickets are available for Opening, Return of the Reels and Closing Night Galas for $15.

Seating: Seating is first-come, first-serve. We strongly encourage you to be at the theater and in your seat 15 minutes prior to showtime.

Sponsor & Filmmaker Passes

Sponsor/Filmmaker Pass

Your sponsor or filmmaker pass works just like a VIP TALLPass and allows the bearer admission to all screenings, galas, parties and events listed above. Please be sure to check your email for exclusive invitations to sponsor-only events. Sponsors will be emailed voucher and ticket receipts. Vouchers can be exchanged at the physical box office beginning October 13.

Additional Details

Tickets are non exchangeable and non-refundable.

Passholders are granted priority admission to select screenings.

Seating is first come, first serve and is not guaranteed. 

Many of the films at the festival have not been rated by the MPAA. They may contain adult themes or strong language and may not be suitable for children.

No babes in arms.

General Admission vouchers are not redeemable for Smallgrass Films.

Groupons and Wisebuys are good for General Admission screenings ONLY. Receipts may be exchanged at all festival box offices.
